Brenta River. Cruising among Palladio Villa’s and Prosecco Tasting


Program 06 days 05 nights

1st Day Arriving of the guests in Padova with accommodation dinner and overnight.

2nd Day the program is scheduled to boarding from Padua for cruising towards the Brenta Riviera, experiencing an amazing boat trip immersed in a beautiful landscape. The first stop is programmed to visit two Venetian Villas then the navigation will go on among villages, locks and swing bridges, that you will see from the canal. The boat will cross the lock of Mira and Dolo to arriving in Stà and visit the amazing Villa Pisani, a good choice to start the discovery of Palladio’s architectures. 
Stop lunch with typical fresh seafood during the cruise Following the tour included the visiting of two more Palladio design villas and Baroque Venetian’s properties. At the end of the guided and tour cruise, transfer in Treviso for hotel accommodation, dinner  and overnight.   

3rd Day: In the morning transfer to Maser, meeting with our guide to visit the Villa Barbaro,  one of the greatest masterpieces of Andrea Palladio (1508-80), and is a Unesco World Heritage List. It is situated in the middle of a flourishing estate whose historic Winery produces wines of great quality. Open all year round, it maintains the fascinating character of a home where the owners still live and work, and during the many events staged, its beauty and magic atmosphere can be enjoyed throughout the changing seasons. Climbing roses, wisteria, and bignonia adorn the entrance courtyard and welcome visitors to the villa The visit continues inside with the six rooms with frescoes of Paolo Veronese  which represent his largest and most important fresco works and from where one can see the Ninfaeum with stuccoes by Alessandro Vittoria. A short walk through the vineyards leads to the carriage collection which contains some thirty exhibits of forms of transport from past centuries. After the tour wine tasting with appetizers. Following transfer to Fanzolo di Vedelago to visit Villa Emo  The villa was probably built  between 1557 and 1560 and it was frescoed between 1561 and 1565. It was built in the farm style which had already beAt the end of this second guided tour coming back to Treviso for dinner in local special restaurant and overnight at the hotel.  

4th Day: in the morning transfer to Piazzola sul Brenta to visit Villa Contarini. The Villa stands on the ruins of an ancient castle built by the Dente family around the year 1000. Later it became a property of the Carraresi family, who were the rulers of Padua, and was then inherited by a member of the Contarini family. The Villa was a farmhouse up until the mid-17th century: Marco Contarini, Procurator of St Mark, expanded the building making it a palace and an extremely picturesque place. After a long period of neglect, the Camerini family bought the estate, and brought it back to its old decoration following the eclectic 19th century style. Subsequently the Villa went through a new period of neglect until the mid-20th century, when it was purchased by Professor G.E. Ghirardi and was assigned to the Foundation bearing his name. Since 2005 the Villa has been a property of the region of Veneto, which is currently working at its development and enhancement. en experimented in Villa Badoer at Fratta Polesine and in Villa Barbaro at Maser.
Stop for the lunch time and in the afternoon transfer to Lonedo di Lugo Vicentino to visit Villa Godi Malinverni, belongs to the rich artistic patrimony of Venetian Villas. Andrea Palladio built the villa in 1542; Gianbattista Zelotti, Battista del Moro and Gualtiero Padovano adorned it with frescoes. After having bought it in 1962, in a situation of degradation, Professor Remo Malinverni dedicated the last years of his life to renew its ancient magnificence. Together with the other Palladian villas, it was added to the Unesco World Heritage list in 1996. The villa is surrounded by a park with century old trees and 2600 meters of boulevard. At the end of this addict huge visit, transfer to the hotel  in Vicenza for dinner and overnight

5th Day: Full day dedicated to the discovery of the great masterpiece of Palladio in Vicenza at Palazzo BarbaranPalazzo Valmarana Braga and the Teatro Olimpico and Basilica Palladiana. Stop lunch in central restaurant and in the afternoon closing tour with the huge Villa Almerico Capra called La Rotonda another masterpiece of the genius of Palladio located up on a sweet hill which was inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. Free dinner and overnight at the hotel  

6th Day Departure of guests or addiction tour on demand.
